If you ever forget your password, this code lets you set a new one. We can’t send reset emails, so keep it somewhere safe, like a note or a password manager.
Brewboxd is a coffee diary for Dublin. Log the coffees you drink, rate them, and see what your friends are drinking.
What we keep. Your username, a scrambled (hashed) copy of your password and recovery code, and your display name and profile photo if you add them. Your diary: the café, drink, milk, rating, date, note and photo for each coffee. Your friends, friend requests, blocks, likes, want-to-try list and any friends you tag in a visit.
What we don’t keep. No email address, phone number, location, contacts or payment details. There are no adverts, no tracking and no analytics.
Who can see it. Only you and your accepted friends can see your coffees, notes and photos. Anyone can find your username by typing it exactly, and will then see your display name and profile photo. If you block someone, they can no longer find you or see your coffees.
Where it’s stored. On Cloudflare’s servers. Your phone also keeps a copy of your diary and friends list, so the app can show them if you lose signal. The app loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google can see your device’s IP address when the page loads.
Your choices. You can export your diary at any time from Settings. Deleting your account from Settings permanently removes your account, diary, photos, friend connections, likes and want-to-try list from our servers. We can’t recover it afterwards, and your recovery code will stop working.
Reports. If you report someone, we receive your report, their username and the reason you chose, so we can review it.
Contact. Questions or requests about your data: use Send feedback in Settings, or email the address in Settings.
